Katie Allen

Violinist Katie Allen began studying music at the age of six in the city of Chicago, playing with various ensembles within the Chicago Youth Symphony program. For her undergraduate degree, Allen studied with Tarn Travers at DePauw University, where she received a full scholarship to study chamber music as a founding violinist of the prestigious Asbury String Quartet. Allen recently graduated with her Master’s at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she studied with Cordula Merks, concertmaster of the San Francisco Ballet. Allen holds a section position within The California Symphony and is a founding member of Quartet La Mer.
