Ways to meet new people and know you have the California Symphony in common

Alliance

In 1991, founding Music Director Barry Jekowsky asked Jane Seeborg to form an auxiliary group to raise funds in support of the orchestra. A group of seven women named the group the California Symphony Alliance. The Alliance held its first fundraiser at Tourelle’s Restaurant in Lafayette honoring guest conductor David Ogden Stiers. Today the Alliance totals about 30 members and raises thousands each year for the California Symphony, in addition to providing volunteer support for its education programs and events. Alliance members pay annual dues to join and hold monthly meetings and social events.

Rossmoor California Symphony Society

The newest addition to the California Symphony’s adult offerings, the Rossmoor California Symphony Society is just like it sounds: a club made especially for the thousands of active residents of Rossmoor active senior adult community. Events throughout the year give insight into upcoming performances, introduce the players you see on stage, and explain how things work behind-the-scenes (what it’s like to audition for an orchestra, for example). These events are designed to bring residents together, enjoy some good wine, and learn about the top-quality orchestra about one mile away from your top-quality community.
