What to Expect
One hour before the Symphony in Slippers UnGala event, we invite donors at the $1000+ level to join Music Director Donato Cabrera for an exclusive, curated wine-tasting experience and cook-along, presented in partnership with Insperity and California Symphony wine sponsor Goldline Brands. The tasting will be hosted live via Zoom video conference from the Goldline estate in Fair Play, CA, in the Sierra Foothills of El Dorado County.
How It Works
- A few days before the event, we will send you a care package including two wines for the tasting, with our compliments, and a recipe card for a simple dish that pairs with the wine and which you can create at home during the event.
- You’ll need a computer or tablet to join, using the Zoom link you receive after registering.
- New to Zoom? We’ll be happy to call you in advance to help you get online.
Your VIP Tasting
Goldline Brands’ estate host will talk you through the tasting notes for:
- 2018 Mediterranean Vineyards Viognier—With aromas of honeysuckle, toasted nuts, and grilled pineapple. It’s silky across the palate with a rich and lingering finish.
- 2017 Mediterranean Vineyards Super Dorado—Goldline’s very first super Tuscan style wine. It has perfumed floral aromas with ripe fruit and herbal notes, a smooth mouthfeel, is medium-bodied and approachable.
Culinarian, Lisa Scott, will show you how to prep the recipe for a dish that pairs perfectly with these wines.
