California Symphony premieres a series of three free virtual concerts inspired by poetry, premiering on three consecutive Saturdays in May. Each episode will run 30 to 45 mins.
Episode two features Schoenberg’s Verklärte Nacht (Transfigured Night). Schoenberg’s lush piece for string orchestra is inspired by German poet Richard Dehmel’s piece, which explores a confession between lovers.
