Sergi Goldman-Hull

Sergi Goldman-Hull, a native of San Mateo, CA, began his studies on the violin at the age of 5. He was a member of the El Camino Youth Symphony, the Peninsula Youth Orchestra, and the SF Symphony Youth Orchestra. He went on to graduate from the Peabody Conservatory of Music in 2003 with a BM in Violin Performance. His primary teacher there was Herbert Greenberg (Former Baltimore Symphony Concertmaster and Josef Gingold student).

Mr. Goldman-Hull is currently a tenured member of five Bay Area Orchestras, including; Oakland Symphony, Symphony Silicon Valley, Opera San Jose, The Marin Symphony Orchestra, and the California Symphony. He has also been Concertmaster for various groups around the Bay Area, including most recently for the Peninsula Symphony Orchestra. In addition, he has been a regular member of the “Music In The Mountains Festival” in Grass Valley, CA since 2009 and “The Mendocino Music Festival” since 2005. In the Summer of 2008, he performed with the Sun Valley Summer Symphony in Sun Valley, ID., an experience that he still rates as one of the top in his life.

Outside of his musical life and the violin, Mr. Goldman-Hull enjoys playing and watching tennis and baseball (which also can include musical jobs, as in the case of getting to perform with the Oakland Symphony at AT&T Park in SF for the World Baseball Classic in 2013, combining two of his life passions). He also likes working on house projects with his wife and “cat-family” at their beautiful home in Oakland.

Hidden talent

Other than the Violin? Hmm…Whistling!
