A Note About COVID Safety

A Note About COVID Safety

Updated September 1, 2021

Effective September 1, California Symphony is requiring all its staff, audience members, musicians, guest artists, and volunteers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. California Symphony follows the CDC’s definition of “fully vaccinated,” which currently means two weeks after receiving the second dose of a 2-dose series vaccine or two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine.

All patrons attending a California Symphony performance will be required to show an ID with photo and full name and proof of vaccination prior to entering the site where the performance is taking place. Consistent with the Contra Costa County Public Health Department, such proof includes a vaccination card, a photo or electronic copy of a vaccination card, or documentation from a healthcare provider. Additional instructions will be sent to all ticket holders prior to performance.

Masks are also required when indoors at a California Symphony event or workplace. Questions? Email info@californiasymphony.org.
