$150,560 Raised!

We Matched the $75,000 Challenge Grant!

It was down to the wire and absolutely every last donation counted to get us across the line! Thanks to the generous support of our donors during Symphony Gives Week, we met the $75,000 challenge match from the Sakana Foundation, so the $75,560 we raised becomes $150,560.

These funds help support the wonderful performances you see on stage, plus our work on education initiatives such as the Sound Minds program, bringing music to low-income kids in San Pablo, CA.

And of course there's the Young Composer-in-Residence program. Anyone who saw Dan Visconti's shimmering Tangle Eye cello concerto on Sunday can be in no doubt as to the value of this highly-regarded residency that has helped launch the careers of the likes of Mason Bates, Chris Theofanidis and Pierre Jalbert.

Because of this growing donor family, the California Symphony is on track to end our fiscal year with the strongest financial performance of the last decade – bravo, tutti!

And if you missed our weeklong gift fest, you can still give now.  Every little helps to fund the performances by our world-class orchestra, our innovative education programs, and the Young Composer-in-Residence program!
